Vengeance Racing helps Corvette customer run their first ever eight second pass down the 1/4-mile.
The C6 Corvette Z06 is one of the great modern Vettes, possibly featuring the last of the big displacement V8 engines. It’s powered by a naturally-aspirated LS7 measuring 427.8 cubic inches, which delivers a combination of 505 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. With the help of the standard 6-speed manual transmission, the LS7 made the C6 Z06 a solid 11-second car in the quarter mile, but there is a lot more power to be made through the tuning process.
The Corvette shown here is an example of the benefits of a big twin turbo build on an LS7-powered Z06. This car is owned and driven by Drue Macready of Speed Addicts and in the video above from the Vengeance Racing YouTube channel, we get to watch and ride along as his murdered-out Chevy supercar lays down a series of back-to-back eight second quarter mile runs..
