The 2017-Up Tesla Model 3 Performance Front Splitter & Side Skirts are an aftermarket modification for the Tesla Model 3 sedan. The front splitter and side skirts are designed to improve the aerodynamics of the vehicle, reducing drag and improving performance at high speeds. They also enhance the appearance of the vehicle, giving it a more aggressive and sporty look.
The Tesla Model 3 Performance Front Splitter is a flat panel that attaches to the underside of the front bumper, extending outward from the front of the vehicle. It is designed to create downforce, which improves the grip of the front wheels and improves stability at high speeds. The front splitter is made of reinforced ABS plastic which is a lightweight and durable materials. The Tesla Model 3 Performance Side Skirts (2-Piece version) are panels that attach to the sides of the vehicle, running along the bottom of the doors between the front and rear wheels. They are also designed to create downforce, improving the grip of the tires and stability of the vehicle at high speeds. Same as the front splitter, the side skirts are made of reinforced ABS plastic.
The following steps are the installation process:
-
Clean the surface of the vehicle where the new front splitter and side skirts will be installed, making sure it is free from dirt, grease, and debris.
-
Place the front splitter and side skirts on the vehicle to determine the correct placement and alignment. Use tape or a marker to mark the areas where the parts will be attached.
-
Drill pilot holes into the vehicle at the marked locations. Make sure the holes are the correct size and depth for the screws or bolts that will be used to attach the parts.
-
Apply a small amount of adhesive or sealant to the underside of the parts, then carefully align them with the holes in the vehicle.
-
Insert screws or bolts into the pilot holes and tighten them securely, being careful not to over-tighten and damage the parts or the vehicle.
