Installation

This Boso Style Muffler Delete Axle-Back Exhaust System is designed for a direct bolt-on installation using the factory Subaru WRX midpipe flange and OEM rubber exhaust hanger locations.

Begin by safely raising and supporting the vehicle. Allow the factory exhaust system to cool completely before working around the rear muffler assemblies.

Unbolt the original rear mufflers from the factory midpipe flange connections. Carefully remove the factory exhaust hangers from the OEM rubber isolation mounts and remove the original muffler assemblies from the vehicle.

Position the new Boso Style axle-back exhaust pipes underneath the vehicle and insert the exhaust hangers into the factory rubber mounts.

Install the supplied flange gaskets between the axle-back piping and factory midpipe connections. Loosely install the supplied bolts before final alignment.

Before fully tightening the hardware, confirm that all four exhaust tips are centered properly within the rear bumper / diffuser openings and that adequate clearance exists around surrounding body panels.

Once alignment is confirmed, securely tighten the flange hardware and inspect all exhaust connections.

After the first several heat cycles, recheck the mounting hardware and exhaust alignment.

Installation manual is not included.

Professional installation is highly recommended.

No cutting or custom welding is normally required for installation.
