About Dry Carbon Fiber
Dry Carbon Fiber vs Wet Carbon Fiber — What’s the Difference?
Not all carbon fiber parts are made the same. The biggest distinction comes down to how the carbon is processed — commonly known as dry carbon and wet carbon. Both use genuine carbon fiber weave, but the production method, finish, and performance are completely different.
Manufacturing Process
Dry carbon fiber parts are produced using a pre-preg (pre-impregnated) carbon cloth, where the exact amount of resin is pre-applied by the manufacturer. These sheets are then vacuum-sealed and cured under high pressure and temperature in an autoclave, removing excess air and resin.
The result is a light, extremely strong, and precisely formed component — the same process used in motorsport and aerospace applications.
Wet carbon fiber, on the other hand, uses a hand-lay or wet-lay method. The carbon cloth is laid into a mold and liquid resin is manually brushed or poured over it before curing. Because it’s not vacuum-bagged or autoclave-cured, there’s usually more trapped resin and air pockets, leading to a heavier part and a less uniform finish.
Weight & Strength
Dry carbon fiber is roughly 30–50% lighter than wet carbon. This is due to the controlled resin ratio — just enough to bind the fibers without unnecessary weight.
By comparison, wet carbon or carbon-over-fiberglass parts can be up to 70% heavier, since excess resin and fiberglass layers add mass without increasing stiffness.

Dry carbon also offers a much higher modulus of elasticity (~125 GPa), giving it outstanding rigidity under stress — ideal for aerodynamic and high-load components.
Visual & Structural Differences

Backside: A true dry carbon piece will look identical front and back — you can see the same woven pattern throughout.
Wet carbon or fiberglass-backed parts often have a dull, uneven underside with visible fiberglass texture or color variation. -
Edges: Solid dry carbon has clean, uniform black edges.
Wet carbon or overlay parts may show a white or grey line along the edge, revealing the fiberglass underneath — sometimes hidden with black paint trim. -
Finish: Dry carbon typically has a consistent matte or satin finish, while wet carbon can appear glossy but uneven due to hand-applied resin.

the wing definitely make the car look much more aggressive there are a few flaws in the clear almost looks like hard water stains the install isn’t for the novice type the top caps wouldn’t line up properly so had to do some modification for the holes to line up, the brackets were easy to install and you just have to use your common sense which screws and bolts go where the holes where easy to cut. but all in all it came out great the video makes it look easy but there’s always an issue when parts don’t line properly and the holes have to be lined up perfectly in order for the screws to go thru the top caps .

I totally love how this wing make my car look!
Said there was a wait for a few weeks, but the part came in only a few days! Beautiful carbon fiber spoiler, very sturdy piece and stunning to look at! The mounts are very well made and offer quite a lot of structural strength to the rear of the car. The trimming isn't too hard for a Z51 and the lower spoiler covers up the factory rear bumper holes with quite a nice (and functional) touch and added flare! The pieces fkr the mounting bracket are very well made and easy to install! Beautiful part, would gladly purchase again.

I love my Z06 wing! It has the look I was hoping for. Dimensionally, it is appropriate for the Stingray (although certain angles are deceiving, making it look larger than it is). Installation is NO JOKE and not for the faint of heart. The utter and total lack of install instructions make it worse… You’ll definitely do a few things twice. The lower duck bill portion ships WITHOUT tape, you’ll need to supply your own as well as some adhesion promoter. You will also need to purchase some epoxy for the end caps. I encourage you to bolt the entire thing together before drilling any holes. The chassis mount brackets must have perfect orientation. I also found the chassis brackets were labeled L and R backwards. Ignore the letters and install them the only place they fit lol. The V pattern in the carbon fiber is nice but it does leave a visible crease in the clearcoat. All that being said, I wouldn’t buy it again, but I will leave it on my car.
The wing looks great on my Z51. My only critique would be that for the price, it would’ve been nice if higher quality 3m tape was included along with black screws instead of silver to match the wing. The tape would not stick and we were forced to use other options due to time constraints. I’ve received lots of compliments and inquiries. Items were packed VERY well! Overall happy with my purchase.
The finishing plate was not made properly and I also had get the mounting brackets machined because there was a gap under the posts

It took 12 weeks to come....but I do not blame EOS for that. I have not yet installed it my car is parked for the winter up here in Canada. Will install in the spring. I inspected the kit all looked really good. Very high quality product. Arrived very well packed as well.

Would be nice if the parts came with instructions. Additionally, I’d give the fitment a Solid C. For the price I’d purchase it again, but it takes patience and a lot more effort than expected to install.
Fitment is exaggerated by ads. Quality not worth the price point. Installation of brackets is nice, carbon piece to cover old holes doesn’t come with enough 2sided tape on it so it bubbles up if you do not ad more. Alignment of the wing pedestals and the actual wing is sub standard and weak and not well engineered. Do not recommend purchase of this product. Find a higher quality product with better fitment, installation instructions with details would be nice too. Good thing we have seasoned builders on this. A DIY or less experienced shop will have lots of issues with this product..
